About Us

The Live Sober Foundation was established out of recognition of the problems related to substance abuse and social addictions that are detriments in every echelon of our communities. Substance abuse has been stigmatized because lack of understanding of its intrinsic mechanisms. Scientists tell us that addiction is a brain disease and we are only beginning to understand this disease.

Live Sober Foundation was formed in 2016 as (Pending Status) a 501 (c)(3) non-profit to answer the call to serve communities on issues of addictive behaviors through education, treatment and finding cure for the disease of substance abuse. The programs and initiatives are a direct response to the escalating crimes and mortality rates related to these addictions. The two co-founder’s painful experiences of incarceration, achieving sobriety and long-term recovery had paved the way for the foundation and development of the organization. Our organization recognizes there is a desperate need for action to improve the public’s basic understanding of the disease of addiction, which is pivotal to eradicate abuse-related problems that plague our communities.

The fabric of our family and society has been torn because of the insatiable appetite our society has developed for anything that alters our perception of reality. We believe it is the identification of the etiology and the embedded behavioral and social –context will improve our approach to find better solutions. There is remarkable demand for a wider dissemination of such knowledge in order to gain more public support to seek for solutions.

We firmly believe is in our best interest for all of us to band together fighting this common enemy to improve society's overall health and reduce social costs.

How our story began is not as important how the story will end, because the story’s beginning is not unique and has been told thousands of times. The true essence of the story is far more significant than its details. After all, it is a story’s redemptive value in healing and finding one’s purpose in life that we all can embrace. The Co-founders of Live Sober Foundation and our team want to share the stories of those who have benefited from our programs and succeeded.

We want to share the stories of those who had been lost and were then found. We want to celebrate with those who understand it’s the struggles in life that gives it meaning and purpose. And most of all, we want to tell the stories of millions that have suffered in silence but are no longer ashamed of their disease. In these stories, we validate our existence as an organization, and we need you to be a part of our story, because you are our story.
